I have an Ender 3 back at my parents’ house. I only visit them every few months so I don’t get much use out of it. I’d like to move it up where I live, but I don’t have the space.
Does automatic bed levelling with 9 points. It’s not very good though, and I’m not sure why.
The SpeedDrive is a really cool mod that converts it from a bowden tube filament feeder to a direct drive system. It’s 100% 3D printed in two parts that print next to each other in a few hours. Very awesome. Direct drive instead of bowden allows for faster and more accurate extrusion due to eliminating filament compression over the length of the bowden tube.
The downsides are that it technically slows down your maximum acceleration as it moves the extruder stepper onto the gantry.
Smooths out signal to stepper motors from poorly designed driver.
Firmware that runs externally on a Raspberry Pi and can do more complicated physics calculations to ensure faster and better prints.
